About

🎸 Practice does not always have to look like practice.

Some skills need repetition — recognising strings, finding notes, reading, coordinating the hands.

But repetition can take many forms.

The online classroom connected to Guitar Fundamentals 1 includes games and interactive activities that let students work on the same skills they meet in the book, but from a different perspective.

The goal is not to replace the book or the teacher.

It is to give us more ways to teach, learn and keep students involved.

🎵 Learning to read music takes time — so why approach it in only one way?

In Guitar Fundamentals 1, reading starts in the book and continues through the online classroom.

Exercises and pieces introduce the notes on the page, while activities such as Note Garden give students another way to recognise them and interact with notation.

Same skill. Different approach.

For me, this is an important part of learning: giving students different ways to understand the same musical idea.
